Parker Prysiazniuk is an incoming MPH student in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Washington. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Morehead-Cain Scholar with a BSPH in Health Policy and Management, a BA in Global Studies, and a minor in Data Science. Parker is currently a Princeton in Africa Fellow and Data Analyst with Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation Eswatini, where he develops national HIV and health data systems to support clinical and programmatic decision-making. He has also conducted HIV implementation research with Cooper/Smith in Malawi and served as a teaching assistant in public health at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. Through his MPH and work with the START Center, Parker hopes to further develop his quantitative and epidemiologic skills while contributing to global health research and sustainable, data-driven public health programs. His broader research interests include spatial epidemiology and disease surveillance in low-resource settings.
