Torin Schaafsma

Torin Schaafsma is a Data Manager and Analyst with the International Clinical Research Center in the Department of Global Health at the UW. He works on several randomized trials at the ICRC that are testing interventions to optimize delivery of HIV care in South Africa and Uganda. These projects explore the impact of home testing and treatment, mobile distribution of medications, point-of-care diagnostics, incentives, and the use of geospatial data in streamlining HIV care and improving patient outcomes. Torin worked as a Research Assistant at the START Center from 2013-2015 while earning his MS in Epidemiology.
