Ben Sullivan holds a PhD, an MS, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering, all three from the University of Washington. During his graduate studies, Ben's research focused on designing and building innovative cookstoves as an alternative cooking method for East Africa. After completing his MS, Ben worked in the Applied Sciences Group at Microsoft as a research engineer, advancing the next generation of printed, textile, and flexible electronic technologies. During his doctoral studies, Ben focused on developing point-of-care diagnostic devices for low-resource settings. His research interests include diagnostic technologies, sample preparation, and microfluidic electrokinetics.
Ben currently works as an Associate Research Scientist at GH Labs.
