Dr. Daniel Enquobahrie is a professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Health Systems and Population Health. He is a faculty lead of the MPH-Maternal and Child Health track in the Department of Epidemiology and Associate Director of the Online MPH Program of the School of Public Health.
Dr. Enquobahrie’s research interests span cardiovascular/metabolic, reproductive/perinatal, and genetic/epigenetic epidemiology. His research focuses on pre-pregnancy and early/mid pregnancy risk factors (and associated mechanisms) for pregnancy complications and outcomes, and early life and developmental origins of metabolic and cardiovascular diseases.
Dr. Enquobahrie earned his MD at Addis Ababa University in 1996, MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Washington in 2005, and his PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Washington in 2007.
