Erica Granados is a concurrent MPA/MPH student at the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance and the School of Public Health. She graduated from New York University with a degree in Global Public Health and History. After graduation, she worked for the CDC Foundation, contracted to the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). In this role, she conducted case investigation, contact tracing, and outbreak management for COVID-19 and MPX response. She also worked with local jurisdictions to strengthen resource distribution and operating procedures related to the emergency responses while leading a team of communicable disease investigators. Most recently, she worked as a Public Health Surveillance and Informatics Analyst at CDPH, working on a Data Modernization Initiative for California. Erica is passionate about strengthening public health systems through community centered interventions, locally and globally. She is excited to bring her public health and public policy skills to the START Center.
