Hanna Shephard is a doctoral student in Epidemiology at the University of Washington. She earned a dual Bachelor of Arts in Public Health and Master of Public Health (BA/MPH) from Brown University in 2020. Following graduation, Hanna worked in public health practice as a Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Epidemiologist at the Massachusetts Dept. of Public Health, where she evaluated the impacts of COVID-19 on pregnant people and their infants. Her dissertation research explores the effect of genital tract infections on reproductive and perinatal health outcomes. She brings expertise in epidemiology methods, reproductive and perinatal epidemiology, and infectious disease epidemiology to the START Center.
