Jennifer oversees the START Center’s trainings, archive and database management, event management, financial services, internal meetings and scheduling, and Equity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives to further ensure accessibility and efficiency for all students and faculty! A UW alumna that studied political science, human rights, and international studies, Jennifer saw the intersection of these fields emerge when she set out to do an AmeriCorps service year with City Year - a nonprofit that exclusively focuses on eradicating the education gap in South Seattle. Her upbringing in Washington, the various public-sector internships she held that required meticulous attention to detail, and service year, ignited Jennifer’s passion in creating sustainable practices that better impacts underserved communities with respects to education and overall health. Leaving traces of this attitude when working as a student tech recruiter and also juggling her full-time Master of Public Administration program at Seattle University, Jennifer is ecstatic to be continuing the “difficult and necessary” work within her second home away from home, the University of Washington.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys exploring the city's hot new restaurants, playing the Nintendo Switch, being near bodies of water, and cooking.
