Sunita Nolan is an MPH student in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Washington. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Public Health in 2021. Prior to joining START, Sunita worked for the Texas Department of State Health Services Immunization Section under the Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) program implementing quality improvement for TVFC providers. She later transitioned to working with both internal and external stakeholders to develop public health initiatives designed to improve vaccination coverage rates amongst vulnerable populations across Texas. Sunita recently served as the project lead on a statewide initiative to improve respiratory vaccination rates for pregnant individuals in low-income Texas counties. Sunita's research interests include disease surveillance, cancer epidemiology, and immunizations.
